Why import and export jobs take 20 mins?

If you are at the console, respond to the alert that is generated by either the import and export jobs. Once you have responded to the alert, the import/export job will end.

that you need to have an export media template in your policy to automatically export the tape to the mailslot. However, note that this export job will generate an alert which takes 20 mins to clear, meaning that your library would be tied up for 20 mins. See https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/idea/export-job-takes-20-minutes-complete. Also, the tape would be exported even if the backup job is unsuccessful.

How do i respond the alert, can u share any screen shot for this...
Under the Job Monitor tab, check the running job. Right-click it and choose: Respond to Alert.

How do i enable this option?
