Import tape backup from old server.

Dear Everyone,

I have 1 case from old IT, 

Old status,  7 tape backup for everyday in week. From Mon - Fri backup Overwrite, Saturday Backup FULL.

He update server from 2008 R2 to 2016, not backup catalog Exec, and he out company :|

Today, I have this case, after I install Backup Exec 16, I don't know how to import Tape again.

Please help :(

    Yes, put the tape one by one and run inventory. After all tapes are inventoried BE database has info about these tapes. From BE global settings -> catalog -> deselect use media in sequence. The use storage based catalog will become greyed out. Save the settings by clicking Ok. Then start catalog from the tape which is inserted. The catalog job may ask for other tapes.

    Put the tapes in the drive one at a time. Run inventory on them. When all tapes are inventoried, run a catalog job to create the catalog files which will help you to view what sets are on these tapes.

      Thank Mr Grurv for help.

      But we use HP LTO5 Ultrium, only 1 tape slot :(
