You can only cancel an acrive job as a superseded job is just a status to say it did not run at the expected time because something else in the job definition took priority. It is not an active job

Colin, your answer - is a standard stupid Veritas answer, when you guys don't even understand your own product. This is not just a status! Superceded job WILL run as soon as the active job ends! And if you don't need it to run, you can not cancel it until it starts. So you need to seat by and behold the active job, and imidiately push cancel on that Superceeded job once it becomes available. This design really pain, as every new version of Backup Exec after 2010 R3.
Hope, some day Veritas will turn back in 2010..
