Live Update is not installed? Exec 2010

Hi,

I just installed Exec 2010 on Server 2008, 64bit. When I manually click to run LiveUpdate I recieve an error stating that LiveUpdate is not installed and that I must install it. However when I run the LiveUpdate install it tells me that it is allready installed.

Suggestions?

Thanks!

Johnathon

  • I ran through the posted removal procedure, there was no Registry item for LU but there were files in the LU Programs folder.

I deleted that folder, uninstalled Exec completely then reinstalled LU before finally installing Exec.

It appears to be updating now.

    Thanks!

  • Do you run LiveUpdate from the menu within Backup Exec or from the startmenu/control panel ?

  • Ahh, good thought, I just looked and LiveUpdate is not in the Control Panel.

Even after unintalling Exec 2010 I get the same message when attempting to install LU, that it is already installed.

Now I will look around for a removal tool.
