Live Update Stopped Working

My current install: BE 2010 R3 Ver 13.0 Rev. 5204 with SP1 and several HF on Windows 2008 Server R2 Standard 64 bit

I know it used to work because I was able to install SP1 and several HF. Now when I click on "Click here to run LiveUpdate" it just sits there. I also ran the repair option with the installation CD - did not help.

HELP!

Thanks!

  • Remove LiveUpdate from Programs & Features...

    Delete the following directories

  • C:\Program Files\Symantec\LiveUpdate  AND C:\ProgramData\Symantec\LiveUpdate
  •
  • Download & install lusetup.exe for LiveUpdate 3.3 from https://www-secure.symantec.com/norton-support/jsp/help-solutions.jsp?docid=v57903068_EndUserProfile_en_us&lg=english&ct=united+states&product=home&version=1&pvid=f-home&entsrc=redirect_pubweb
  •
  • If you have other Symc apps such as SEP, open cmd & change to C:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec & run the following command
  •
  • BeUpdateOps.exe -AddBE -OptOut
  •
  • try running liveupdate again then
  •

  • what happens when you run luall.exe from Start - Run ?

Also, i guess you are already updated with the latest patches/ HFs

  • "Windows can not find luall.exe"
