Looking to upgrade from BE 21 to BE 22, not able to find any documentation. Is it a simple as an update ugprade? Are there any particular steps/procedures to make sure it goes smoothly? I know licensing changes, and SQL is different. What impact does this have?
Upgrading is simple.
1) Review the Software and Hardware Compatibility Lists to make sure that your hardware and software is still supported.
2) Run the installation program of the new BE version and that's it.
3) You would then have to push out the new remote agents to every machine. A reboot is required after the remote agent upgrade.
Hi, how about the license? let say customer using BE 21.6 and use vray and they will upgrade to BE 22. are they must convert license from vray to BE Simple? or they can upgrade to BE22 but they can not using backup for office365.
Your BE 21 licence will not work with BE 22. You would need to download a BE 22 licence which is free if you are on a current maintenance contract.

Tried upgrading BE21 to BE22 using the BE22 ISO.
Passed the pre-check no problem. But when the next step of installing BE22, the dialog box says "Loading the installer ... Please wait" Then the box disappears.
Anyone experience this problem?
Have you checked if you might have multiple msiexec.exe tasks running.
If yes, then you might need to reboot or end task these tasks and then launch the installation once more.
