Media overwrite protection levels for tape media

Some mornings I find that some jobs are pending an overwrite prompt. I'd like to disable this, but want to double check my proposed configuration.

From Veritas admin guide:

"The media overwrite protection level specifies whether to overwrite scratch, imported, or allocated media, regardless of the media's overwrite protection period."

...Regardless of the media's overwrite protection period.That phrasing has me a little concerned. Like my media can be overwritten before they expire. If it set this to "Partial - protect only allocated media", and uncheck "Prompt before overwrtiing imported media", my allocated tapes will only be overwritten when they expire, and without the prompt, right?
