Migrating deduplication storage to another storage in BE 2014
Hi,
Has anyone tried successfully to relocate an existing dedup folder (currently in use and with data) to another path e.g from drive D:\ to drive E:\?
I have looked into this technote (http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=HOWTO99592) but unable to select "Dedupe disk storage because server is already hosting a dedupe disk storage".
As for this technote (http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH170960), its for BE2010 so I do not dare to try.
Please help.
Thanks.

Limitations:
- If the Agent for VMware and Hyper-V is installed, the deduplication disk storage device cannot be moved to another Backup Exec server, but can be moved to another volume on the same Backup Exec server.
- Refer to the section below “To change the location of a deduplication disk storage device” for more information.
- If the Agent for VMware and Hyper-V is not installed, use the Configure Storage wizard to create a new deduplication disk storage device with a different name than the original.
- Refer to the section below “To create a new deduplication disk storage device” for more information.
Procedures:
To change the location of a deduplication disk storage device:
- Document the deduplication storage path by viewing the properties of the deduplication disk storage device.
- On the Storage tab, right-click the deduplication disk storage device, and then click Disable.
- Right-click the deduplication disk storage device again and then click Delete.
- When prompted to delete the device, click Yes.
- Retarget existing jobs when prompted, as needed.
- Click the Backup Exec button, select Configuration and Settings, select Backup Exec Services, and then click Stop all services.
- From Windows Explorer, copy the deduplication disk storage device to the new path or volume.

- Select a method to create the deduplication disk storage device.
NOTE: For a deduplication disk storage device that was created in Backup Exec version 2012, click Create a new deduplication disk storage device.
NOTE: For a deduplication disk storage device was created prior to Backup Exec version 2012, click Import an existing deduplication disk storage device, and then enter the path to the deduplication disk storage device.
- Click Next.
- Specify the logon account that was used for original deduplication disk storage device, and then click Next.
- Select to enable encryption if required, and then click Next.
- Specify the number of concurrent operations that you want to let run on the deduplication disk storage device, and then click Next.

NOTES:
- Time completion is affected by the number files in the deduplication storage folder or the deduplication disk storage device.
- A deduplication folder or deduplication disk storage device can also be relocated to a different server using the same methodology as above.
- The new media server or Backup Exec server must not already have a deduplication storage folder or deduplication disk storage device. Only one deduplication storage folder or deduplication disk storage device is supported per media server or Backup Exec server.
- Do not use this technique to copy a deduplication storage folder or deduplication disk storage device to another server in a CASO environment and then attempt to use both deduplication devices.
- If the Agent for VMware and Hyper-V is installed, the deduplication disk storage device cannot be moved to another Backup Exec server, but can be moved to another volume on the same Backup Exec server.
