Missing media changer and tape drive not appearing in server

Hi

Recently, we perform a relocation of the server and tape drive, after that when we connect back. We are not able to see any media changer in the device manager, we have already swap the FC cable to ensure the cables are connected properly. We also tried reinstalling the drivers but nothing works. We keep trying to scan for new hardware changes but nothing pop up. Can anyone suggest any way to get this media changer back again.

    Since you cannot see the media changer in the device manager, you got to check with your hardware vendor.  This is not a software problem.

    Hi

    U mentioned hardware vendor but we have verified both server and tape library all the hardware status are doing fine. Which hardware vendor should we actually check?

      Start with the tape drive vendor first.

    1. You should check if any error in tape drive management.

    2. You can check the indicator of FC card of your server .
