good morning - does anyone know how long it takes to get approved for the beta for 2013?

I don't think there is a beta for BE 2013 yet. There are betas for patches for BE 2010 & BE 2012.

LarryFine is correct, the current betas are for BE 2010 & 2012. At present, there is no timeline for announcing a beta for the next version of Backup Exec.
The current betas are just about to end and the full release will be announced very soon. They are scheduled for General Availabitlity before the end of this month.
