Outlook pst files are locked by DLO

Hello,

A customer has problems with his users. They make in the profiles that all files of pst must be backuped, the problem is when the users try to open outlook, because the pop window appears saying that there is another application that using the pst files, then the outlook is closed.

Of course, the other application BE DLO.

Are there any that knows how to solve this?

    Hi Don,

     

    There are 2 ways to configure PST backup in DLO

     

    1. In Profile properties go to Options tab
    2. Check "Enable VSS backups of Outlook PST files"

    What is the backup method used for PST backup ,if you are using MAPI method then please try to use the VSS method for doing PST backup with DLO and then check

    Hi Backup_exec,

    Where you will find the method to backup? Remeber that DLO hasn't any method. In the profile the only option that I have is enable message level incremental backup of Outlook pst files.

    The option to use MAPI or VSS are on Backup Exec, but in DLO?

    Hello,

    I saw it, this option is inside of Symantec DLO 7.0 but not in Backup Exec 2010 DLO 342B44a.
