Percent Complete will not display in BE 12.5

I am running BE12.5 in Windows 2003 R2. Everything is fine except that in the Job Monitor Window the Percent Complete column has N/A when backing up and is blank when verifying. All the files being backed up are local. A 2003 SBS server running BE11d has no problem displaying Percent Complete when backing up and verifying. How can I correct this?

    From Tools\Options\Preferences  enable

    Display Progress Indicators

     

    See  the v12.5 Admin Guide page 160

    Ken has given the answer, just bear in mind if you enable this then the overall time taken by the backup jobs will increase as it has to work out how much is going to be backed up to display the indicator
