  • If this is a terminal server are you setting it to Install Mode before attempting the install?

    Also if UAC is involved I would suggest disabling it.

    Failing that this could be a .net issue (or as an outside thought default internet browser issue as we may need IE)

  • I did check the .net and I can see that .net 4.5 is installed on this machine.

    UAC is disabled and I tried to run it with option run as admin.

    Also as you can see when I run the brwoser.exe it is not completly blank (see please my first post)

    @collin,

    yes this machine is RDS server 2008 R2. I did try to run the F:\Install\ISOs\Backup_Exec_2010_R3_13.0.5204_ZOnder SP1\BE\WinNT\Install\BEx64  and there I get a warning that this machine is a Terminal server.

    Thanks

  • Sorry to say but cannot just remove the .net becuase there are other application on this machine that use the .net

    We know the version of the OS is X64 why can't we just run the setup from the \BE\WinNT\Install\BEx64?

    Thanks

  • I didn't say remove it, I said repair it if you can...

  • OK we did run the .net setup over the current one reboot the server but still get the same issue.

    I think there is something wrong with the IE on this server.

  • Then you need to see where you can repair IE, and check the Event Viewer for any errors logged there.

    Also make sure Windows is fully patched.
