Push out remote agent?

What if I have BE Server installed (Capacity edition), and then I create a VM on that same physical server?  Do I need to push install the Agent for Windows to the VM?  If so, why or why not?

    The VM needs the remote agent if you want to do GRT backup/restores of applications/databases. Also it is needed for GRT restores of files. This requirement is independent of where the VM is hosted
