Ready to upgrade from version 2012 to 2014 (14.1.1786.0)

I've been trying to push the Backup Exec Remote Agent upgrade but it fails with the following error.

Utility Job information: Ready to upgrade from version 2012 to 2014 (14.0.1786.0).

Install failed with error code -2147023293. Right click on the computer to view logs for more information.

Job Completion Status:Final error: 0x80070643 - fatal error during installation.

Final error category: other errors

Completed status: failed

My VM is running Windows Server 2008R2

    I uninstalled Microsoft Security Update 2918614

    I coppied the RAWSX64 and VCRedist folders from the BEX Server to my VM that was having issues. I coppied both folders to "C:\ " , then I open the RAWSX64 folder to run setup.exe. The local installation ran fine without further issues.  T

    I tried the manual installtion but received an error "Microsoft VC ++ Redistributables (x64) installtion failed.

    Attached a file as well

    Hello - I ran the setup.exe from the C:\ drive but got another error that didn't allow me to finish the Manual installation. Error attached

    Yes, you can still run the setup.exe over the existing version. Copy the RAWSx64 and the MSXML folders to the root of the C:\ drive (preferably) or the Desktop and then run setup.exe from there. Do not copy it to the existing RAWS folder.

    Since we have Backup Exec 2014 server, I'm trying to copy MSXML folder and RAWSX64 folder to my VM using Windows Server 2008R2 x64. My VM seems that it has Backup Exec 2010 Agent installed. Its Backup Exec RAWS folder was updated back in 2/13/2013. The subfolders that got updated within the RAWS folder are DATA, PDIFS, and x86.

    Can I still copy folders  MSXML and RAWSX64 into the RAWS folder and still run the setup.exe for the manual installation of the BEX Remote Agent? or should I unistall the older version (13.0.5204) then install the new version 14.1.1786.0?

    Or should I copy these folders MSXML and RAWSX64 somewhere else, perhaps within some of the subfolders mentioned above (DATA, PDIFS, and x86)?

    Go to the Agents directory under the BE installation directory, copy the appropriate RAWS over to the remote server and do a manual install
