Recover data from tape label?

Hello all - just a quick one.

I've inadvertently re-labled a tape rather than renamed it.

Is there any slim chance of recovering the data from this tape - or this gone for good?

I know Symantec says the tape is destroyed, but is there no method of getting this back?

    Hi,

     

    No method from within BE at all. The data is gone for good. Not sure whether or not a 3rd party can recover the data for you, but it is likely to be very expensive if they can.
