Recovery Exchange 2010 GRT problem wtih space on Backup server

Hi all!

Problem:

When I tried to recover individual mailbox from BackupExec Server, It used its own disk C:(screenshot4) for temporary Exchange storage and didn't use Disk, which I pointed in my recovery job.(screenshot2) on my Exchange Server.

In detail:

1) All backups job ran without problems.

I have a server BackupExec 2010 R3.

Name "01Backup". (Disk free space on C:\ - 6GB)

And Exchange Server 2010.

Name "01Exch01". (Disk free space on D:\ - 350GB). Exchannge database 120 GB placed on disk D:\.

In recovery panel I could checked individual items in mailbox, but then I tried to recovery them, I got a error

Completed status: Failed
Final error: 0xe000848f - Insufficient disk space.
Final error category: Resource Errors

BackupExec didn't use (screenshot2) Exchange Server for temporary recovering storage. It used his own disk C:\ (screenshot4) on 01backup.

Some other Screenshots if they could help.(screenshot1)

Can anybody help? I chosed right way, but it not worked.

  • I have a feeliong there might be a setting under tools --> options (before you create the restroe  job) that also needs changing to make the staging go to a different drive. - sorry I don't have a BE 2010 R3 system handy to check the exact setting.

  • I understood. Thank you. But it didn't solve my problem. When I pointed in Advanced Settings disk D:\ and BE used it as a staging for recovering base. But My Exchange Database more bigger then Disk D:\ on my backup server. Disk D:\ - 95 Gb. Exchange Database - 120 GB. Not enough spase!
Now the question is: can Symantec BE use alternative storage for staging exchange database or it can only use disk on my backup Server???
If it can only use the local storage on BE server I can reduce my database and make two bases 60 GB + 60 GB.

Also I tried to point in Advansed Settings path where I had enough space "\\MyexchangeServer\Temp" but it also didn't work :(
