Restore data from another site
Dear all,
I have a BE server with one tape library at DC site. At DR site, I also have a backup EXEC server and tape library but no tape media inside. DC and DR have the same version BE software.
How can I take tape from DC and them insert to library at DR site for restore data files to any backup client at DR site?

Run Inventory and catalog operations
Note: if the backup jobs span tapes you will need to supply all tapes in the spanned sequence and/or disable the setting to follow all media in the sequence for catalog operations.

Insert tapes at DR site, run an inventory job, also have a copy of the catalog files from the original server and put them on the DR server before restarting the services - however unless you check each pair of catalog files being copied to the DR server to confirm if it was a tape based set - you will also be taking catalogs for disk and deduplication backups and not just the tapes which could get confusing (when both looking at restore selections and any effects on DLM activity)
