Restore selection from spreadsheet

Hi

 

I got 2500 filenames from our image-database that is missing.

How do I determine if any of the files is restoreable without having to type them all in?

It describe how to export selection list to excel. Can I import filenames to a selection list as well?

    Hi,

     

    No...this is contained on your media's catalog. When you run an Intentory/Catalog job this will be imported into the BEDB, but there is no way to import details into a selection list unfortunately.

    The selection lists will not tell you whether the files are backed up. You either search for the files using the BE console or use the Cattool below to dump out the catalogs to text files and use some text searching tool to search for the files http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH222803
