So I guess you had 12.0 before and not 2012 which are completely different versions of Backup Exec
Just for info 12.0 and 12.5 are really old versions that are no longer supported, so unless you are also running very old applications and operating systems to backup up you should probably look at updating to a newer version of Backup Exec (15 FP1 being the current version) Make sure you do review both the hardwre and software compatibility lists carefully before any upgrade.

The tape library is not connected directly to te NetApp, it's zoned to the BE media server.
After i added netapp to the BE server i restartded all services
Is the Tape Library connected directly to the NetApp device or zoned to the BE media server as well ?
Were the BE services restarted after adding the NDMP server in the Backup & Restore tab ?
