Setting Low Disk Space - Warnings

I am interested in changing the default levels for warning in Backup Exec 2012, such as Low Disk Space warnings, etc.  Here is the article I am following to try and change the default warnings:

 http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH189217

However, when I select the RD1000 disk we are using, the options to adjust the default warning thresholds are not there.....that block of settings is not there.  Are they located somewhere else?

  • The internal feedback I got against this issue is that control of these thresholds on RDX will return in the next complete release of Backup Exec (when RDX switches to DLM management)
  • The settings in your documents are for Disk Storage.  For RDX cartridges, you are using Disk Cartridge Devces, so the settings will not be the same.  If the settings are not present in the properties of the Disk Cartridge Storage, then they are not applicable.

  • Thank you for the reply....but, if they are not applicable, why are they generating the warnings during or after the completion of the backup job?

  • I have attached a screen shot of the warning.......we use about 334GB on a 500GB disk on the nightly backup....

  • The internal feedback I got against this issue is that control of these thresholds on RDX will return in the next complete release of Backup Exec (when RDX switches to DLM management)
