Suspending backup job due to backup exceeding backup window
Customer has a requirement where they want to suspend a backup job (let's say a full backup) if it exceeds their backup window (let's say 8 hours) but they want to restart from where they suspended at the next backup window. Is this something configurable in Backup Exec?
I checked our schedule settings and options but I'm not sure if this is something that can be done.

Nope but we are looking at resuming failed jobs from suitable points (instead of the beginning) for possible inclusion in a future version.
However this would probably be after a failure and not after something like the expiration of a configured window of time.
