Symantec Backup EXEC in VM ware workstation dosent support backup from exchange 2007 32 bit with GRT


I am testing in VM Workstation, I have installed exchange 2007 32 bit and symantec backup exec 32 bit with sp3.
When I try to take exchange backup using GRT it gives me error
0xe00002f1 - Cannot back up the binaries that are associated with the selected Exchange databases. Review the Exchange configuration. Until you fix any errors, edit the backup job, uncheck the GRT option, and then run the job again.
Final error category: Resource Errors

I have checked the support forum and I found that exchange 32 is not supported for backup exec.
Just confirm if it is not supported.

    Exchange 2007 32-bit is not supported by MICROSOFT and Symantec...

    Yep agree with Dev T - Microsoft only released Exchange 2007 32bit as an (unsupported) developmement tool to help train stafff etc it was never intended for production environments - as such Symantec made a descision not to support the 32 bit version.

    You will get errors if you try a standard GRT backup of that system - so not suprised that AVVI with GRT also fails.
