The device, \Device\Scsi\adpu3201, did not respond within the timeout period.

Hi Guys...

I am getting this error on 2 different systems.   One system is running BE11 and the other BE12

The Tape Streamer is a HP Ultrium 3 which was working fine until we changed admin passwords.  Since then,  we been getting this error.  I removed the drive from the server to test on a seperate server that was newly created and loaded with BE12,  but the problem still exists.  The BE12 server also has a robotic Library connected which works fine.  Can it be the drive?

    Yes, these SCSI errors certainly seem to come from Drive.

    Verify if the Drivers for the drive are still from symantec.

    Check if the drive firmware is the latest one, also verify the the adpactec SCSI card drivers to which the drive is connected.

    Use the HP diagnosis tools to verify if the drive is working fine.
