The operation failed to acquire the minimum number of drives and media needed

Hi,

i create new media set with parameters - Dont allow overwrite and Infinite Allow append.

And Inserted new tape cartridge in the library slot (Recycle tape). After, create new backup job and assigned media set.

When running a backup job I get an errr:

The operation failed to acquire the minimum number of drives and media needed

I restart server/services, but not the working.

Why BE does choose new recycle tape cartridge? - He is appendble

    Did you manually put tape CEN970L7 into media set "BACKUP-WEAKLY"?  If so, that is the problem. CEN970L7 is currently not availble for overwrite as it picks up the rules of the media set as soon as the tape goes into the media set.

    Tapes to be used should be left in the "scratch" set until BE pulls the tape into a media set as a backup job is being run.
