Update BackupExec von 11d nach 2014?

Hallo,

wir wollen die Backupsoftware auf einen neuen Stand bringen. Die soll weiter auf dem bisherigen Server laufen.

Ein direktes Update von Backup Exec 11d nach Backup Exec 2014 ist ja wohl nicht möglich.

Fragen:

Kann man die Einstellungen und den Inhalt der Sicherungsbänder übernehmen? Oder müssen alle Bänder manuell neu eingelesen werden und die Sicherungsaufträge wieder neu eingetragen werden?

Sollte man vor der Installation von BE2014 zuerst BE11d deinstallieren, oder wird das sowieso während der Installation von BE2014 durchgeführt?

    As you are not going for the multi-upgrade process, then for a new install of BE 2014, the existing version must be removed.

    From 11d to 2014, it would be a multi-step upgrade. Upgrade from 11d to 12.x or 2010 and then upgrade to BE 2014.

    Do check in the BE 2014's SCL if the OS of the media server is compatible with BE 2014 or not.

    Vielen Dank für die Antwort. Die Version BE2014 haben wir bereits gekauft. Die Versionen 12.x oder 2010 haben wir nicht. Ein schrittweises Update geht also nicht.

    Sollte man vor dem Installieren von BE2014 die alte Version BE11d erst deinstallieren? Gibt es Datenbanken die man sichern sollte?

    Before the upgrade/uninstall, stop the BE services and copy the Data & the Catalog folders.

    OK, das werde ich machen.

    Ist ein Uninstall von BE11d erforderlich, bevor man BE2014 installiert?
