Update Tape Drive Backup Exec 20.1

Hi all,

 

I just bought a HP Ultrium LTO 5.

We had a HP Ultrium LTO 4.

 

So, my question is, how can I update the Tape Drive in Backup Exec? I already connected the new LTO5, Windows already recognized it. But in BE, it remains the configuration of the old Tape, including 1.4TB size (The new has 3TB).

    Just because I have to ask, did you power down the server while you were disconnecting and connecting the drive?

    Normally that should update automatically when the services come back up from the server power on.

      Just tried. Recognized Ultrium 5 but the tape still has 1.4TB instead of 3TB.

        Nevermind. 

        With compression, 1.4TB is the correct size.
