Upgrade 2010R3 to backup exec 2014

Hi Guys,

What process do i have to follow to upgrade from Backup exec 2010R3 tto the latest 2014?

Will my lic transfer? How do i do this?

Can I jump straight to 2014 or is there a step by step process

I do not want to loose my backup sets or backup jobs.

Its a stand alaone install on a windows 2008r2 server and im using a tandberg robotic tape lib for my backup sets

    1) Check the SCL and HCL below to make sure that your software and hardware is supported

    2) You need a new set of licence keys for BE 2014.  Your BE 2010 licence keys will not work with BE 2014.  The new licence keys are free if you are on a current maintenance contract.  Contact the Symantec Licencing department to get them.

    3) You can do an in-place upgrade of BE 2010 to BE 2014.  Before the upgrade, make a copy of the Data and Catalog directories under the BE installation directory.  To upgrade, just run the BE 2014 installation DVD on the media server.
