Using Object Lock with Amazon S3 and backup exec

Does anyone know if Object Lock can be used with S3 storage in Backup Exec? I've been doing some testing with a Object Lock enabled bucket, and duplicating data sets to it.

If the setting is enabled at a basic level on the bucket then duplication works, but as soon as the retention options are selected (Governance/Compliance and the days/years)  it stops it working.

Have tried changing date ranges etc. but seems like Backup Exec is not aware of the object lock state and can't write to the bucket when the settings are in place.

Any advice?
