V-79-57344-4611 Restore Failure

Hi All,

I have finally managed to get my First Storage Group backed up with all mailboxes showing.

However, I tried a restore on a folder in my mailbox and got the following error:

Complete Status: Failed
Final Error: 0xe0001203 - An error occurred while creating or accessing the directory specified for this operation. Click the job log for details.

Final error category: Resource errors

I get the link: V-79-57344-4611.

Has anyone got any solutions to this? I have installed all hotfixes and restarted the system.

    When you restore using grt you have what is called a staging area, this area needs to be big enough to take the entire mail store, you can specify the location in tools/options/restore

    How big does this staging area need to be? I am only trying to restore a folder with 6 messages in it. This is a test to see that I can get the messages back with all content relating to them before I attempt to defrag the priv1.edb file.

    I have about 2.6GB of free space on my C drive due to the rather large priv1.edb file (23GB) I have. However I plan to move this to a new partition that has 115GB free.

    I have been trying to restore and I still get the same error message, this despite the fact I have over 26GB free on the C: drive and 90GB free on the partition I moved the Exchange DB files to.

    I have also given full permission to the C:\Temp folder for my Exchange Admin account.
