VMware Backups Failing

I'm having an issue with my backup. Yesterday I started seeing this error when trying to backup my citrix server. I'm going to try and reboot the server but I was hoping someone could offer some other ideas. The other VM's on the host are backing up fine.

Note: Resource: "VMVCB::\\192.168.29.15\VCGuestVm\(DC)ha-datacenter(DC)\vm\CITRIX01" is not snappable. Attempting to back up directly from the source volume.
V-79-57344-34009 - An error was encountered creating on-disk catalog. If this is an incremental backup, cataloging of the generated media may not work correctly.

I'm using Backup Exec 2010 R3

  • I had them reboot the VM and that seems to have resolved the issue.
  • 1) Did you load the remote agent into the VM?

    2) Have you tried doing a full backup again and then your incremental backup

    3) What VM hypervisor are you using and what version.  Make sure it is supported by your version of BE.  See the SCL below

  • I had them reboot the VM and that seems to have resolved the issue.
