what i do if the tape is full Please Advise?
2 choices:
1. Put in a tape that's overwritable from the same media set as the job running, or in the Scratch set. The job will continue. This assumes you have a free tape available.
2. Put in a tape that's appendable.

Buy another tape or overwrite the existing one
Note if a tape fills up mid job then because an overwrite job is destructive over the whole tape, even if that tape contains older data at the start of it, you cannot overwrite just the beginning of the tape to allow the backup to complete as this would be the same as a snake swallowing it's own tail and not good for data recovery. There is a way around this - start the jobs as overwrites as long as the earlier data in the tape is no longer needed.
