- Paul_VasquezLevel 4Although this is not recommended, it can be done in SFWHA(VCS) 4.1 or higher.
Paul - Lamont_StratusLevel 3Is it possible on older VCS 2.0? Is it about Exchange that it is not recommended?
Thanks.
-LS - Hywel_MallettLevel 6I believe it's simply down to Microsoft reccomendations that you don't run SQL and Exchange on the same server, rather than it being a VCS issue.
I think it's possible to have a node as a failover node for SQL and Exchange, but I'd be inclined to set an offline service group dependency between them, so they won't run on the same node at the same time. - Lamont_StratusLevel 3I did some digging and found this document http://support.veritas.com/docs/256752
However I might try Hywel's suggestion.
Thanks. - Paul_VasquezLevel 4It was not functionally possible in 2.0 due to the way the SQL and Exchange Agents were designed. In 4.x, the design changed and the new design allowed Exch and SQL to run on the same node. I will make sure the Technote gets changed to reflect the appropriate versions.
