Using Veritas Cluster for HA Active/Active

Hi All.

In my company, we are working implementing HA to my Solaris server that use LDOMS, at this moment we have 1 server with 1 storage, the objective is to implement a second server and storage.

I would like to have your recommendations about the best options using VCS that does not have a big impact to th app performance.

 

I thought one scenario that, but i'm worry regarding performance if implement like this, the scenario is the following:

 

• Make both stroage are able to see luns from both storages
• Zone one lun for each storage.
• At the ldom perform a mirror using vxvm ( this can also be done at Central domain level)
• For example if will use a Oracle allow Oracle RAC works with the HA for database.
• For Ldom Recovery user VCS.

What do u think about this scenario?

Because i want to use active/active apps i need to write on both ( i can implement a synchronous replications at SAN level) sans not sure if with an extra SW layer of Veritas i can virtualize the SAN in order to do that .

If you have any other options please can u share it?
