Have you turned off User Access Control? UAC has to be off for VCS installation to work.
Thanks,
Chris
Hello mokkan,
Per the error message provided in the screenshot, it seems you are not logged in and attempting to configure the cluster with an account that is on the domain. A domain account is required when configuring VCS. Also, as mentioned above, make sure UAC is turned off.
The domain user requirement can be found in the VCS admin guide. I am not sure which version you are using, but I will link the 6.1 admin guide. Please refer to page 79, the 5th bullet point:
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/resources/sites/BUSINESS/content/live/DOCUMENTATION/7000/DOC7273/en_US/vcs_admin_61_win.pdf
I can see you are using VMWare Desktop, and therefore perhaps you have not joined the VM to the Domain, or something along those lines.
If you are sure that you are using an account that is in the domain and has admin privileges to the box and UAC is disabled, then we will have to check the logs to determine what exactly is going on. There should be a log in %vcs_home%\log named vcw.log that will have this information.
No, how do I turn off? Sorry I am new to Windows.
I am following this
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-ca/library/cc709691%28v=ws.10%29.aspx
It is just a local host and I don't have domain account. How can fix this? i have turned off UAC now as using the followoing doc. I still have same error

mokkan,
As mentioned above, a domain account is required for the configuration of VCS. You are receiving the same error because the user you are logged in as is not in a domain.
Do you have any way of using or creating a domain account for the installation and configuration of VCS? That is the only way you will be able to move forward with the Cluster Configuration Wizard.
Thank you all for the great replies. I have a question, if you are installing using domian account and if we removed the account after while, would VCS work?
