i like to upgrade vcs on 4 nodes.
i will hastop -all -force,then unload gab,llt on every node.then upgrade.
if i hastart on every node is ok?
i mean applications run on every node during upgrade,then i start vcs on every node.the applications are under vcs control?
or i manually stop applications,umount etc then hastart in every node?
you want to minimize the production downtime during VCS upgrade, right?
Unfortunately most of the times during Veritas InfoScale product upgrade, system restart is needed (as some drivers may not be manually unloaded) therefore there is no way to load the new drivers without a reboot.
If you can upgrade VCS and load all the new drivers, running hastart on each node to start VCS, after completing VCS upgrade, is fine. Once VCS is started on all four nodes, your applications are under HA again.
