Backup Over the Internet

Hi!

Is it possible for DLO to connnect to BE Server over the Internet and update backup files?  I need to update my Laptop Users Backup using DLO.

    No. Backups over the Internet is not possible with DLO.

    Check the following technote for backing over the net in Backup Exec.

    Hi,

     

    Actually backups over the Internet using a VPN IS supported. Check your version of BE's Admin Guide for further information.

    You need a VPN otherwise shares won't be available meaning no backups.

    Hello,

    is there a plan to tunnel all the connections to only one or two ports ?
    Access to windows RPC and SMB port is nice to sync local machines, but it is more annoying for BYOD or exotic machines.

    Is there's a way to use some kind of proxy machine between the clients and the server ?
    (even if we use a VPN)
