Backup running on Wi-Fi connections?

Hello, 
yesterday was a new implementation of DLO 7.5 and after the first backup it is full, the client asked me if DLO supports if the computer was connected by Wi-Fi, I thought that protocols and networks should be as in a wired network but not if it will be true. Unfortunately did not get a chance to get some comprobrarlo. Could give me feedback about their experiences.
