"DLO Administration Service user account is not a sysadmin," however...

...I cannot *make* the service user account a sysadmin (using SMSS for SQL 2014 Express).  None of the default user accounts enabled in SQL have "sysadmin" rights, nor can I give any accounts the rights as I don't have the permission.

I'm running everything (DLO, SMSS, etc) as a *Windows* administrator, but that seems to make no difference.

What can I do?
