Failed to schedule Maintenance Windows when upgrading DLO

Hi

I'm getting the below message when trying to upgrade the DLO console from 7.5 to 7.6:

Failed to schedule Maintenance Window.

Please schedule maintenance window for 9999 minutes using DLO Admin

Console and then continue

I am using the steps in the below article to upgrade:

https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH223671.html

This message appears after the Pre-Install DB upgrade successful step.

How do I schdule the maintenance window for 9999 minutes? Also, what impact will this have?

Thanks

Jimmy

  • If the message does allow you choose OK and then continue, then yes, pls do so.

  • Here the maintenance window refers to the DeDupe Server Maintenance. During this period, backups & restores are not performed and this is required during the upgrade to prevent any DLO agent related issues.

You can set the Maintenance Windows manually via the DLO console and then rerun the upgrade process. Verbatim from the Admin Guide -

1: On the DLO navigation bar, click Setup.
2: In the Settings pane, double-click the Dedupe Server. The name of the Dedupe Server is displayed.
3: Right-click the Dedupe Server name and select Manage.
    4: Select the System tab.
5: To set the maintenance schedule, enter the time in the Timeout field.
    6: Click Start.

  • Hi VJware

    Thanks for the reply.

I don't have a Dedupe server as this option is disabled. Should I just "Ok" to the message in my original post?

    Thanks

    Jimmy
