SMB traffic from storage location to console server

We've recently installed DLO v8.0 SP1 on a server based in our UK office.

We have a second server in our Belgium office with a storage location (with a dedupe storage location) and maintenance server, backing up approximately 30 users at the Belgian site.

However we’re noticing a large amount of SMB traffic coming from the server in Belgium to the server in the UK. 

Any ideas why this would be?
