Update Apache Tomcat

Hi,

can some body help me how to upgrade Apache Tomcat in DLO server. 

i mean, can we just update apache tomcat without upgrade DLO version? if we can, how? or we must update the DLO too.

because we have aplication security that detect my server dlo have old tomcat version. (we using DLO 9.0 SP1).
