The behavior of CVM/VxDMP

Hi,

   In the Release Notes of SF5.1, there is a statement "When all of the Primary paths fail or are disabled in a non-Active/Active array in a CVM cluster, the cluster-wide failover is triggered. All hosts in the cluster start using the Secondary path to the array."  What do you think "all of the Primary paths" means? It means "all of the Primary paths of the master node" or means "all of the Primary paths of all nodes"?

    Hi

    When all the primary paths to a LUN fails (or get disabled) on any node in a CVM cluster, VxDMP/ASL/APM initiates a path failover (Active/Passive array) and array secondary controller takes over the LUN ownership for this LUN. This means the secondary path is the active path now for all the nodes that have access to this LUN. Since CVM is a Active/Active cluster, all the nodes must switch the active path to secondary path now even if one node initiates a path failover.

    the cluster-wide failover -- means cluster-wide path failover for this LUN that lost all its Primary paths on one or multiple nodes.

    When all the primary paths from any one node in the cluster are lost; that ‘any node’ can be either master node or slave node.
