Clearwell v8.1 Hardware Requirements

Hello. I am gathering the Clearwell upgrade requirements (upgrade from 7.1.5 to 8.1). I have two questions:

1) What are the hardware requirements for 8.1? We do not have a Clearwell applicance.

2) Do I have to purchase a license for Office 2013 or is it included with the Clearwell 8.1 software?

The installation guide and upgrade guide have basic hardware requirements. You can also raise a support case to get more information on the upgrade process. There are a number of preliminary tasks that should be done before the upgrade.

  can i install clearwell ediscovery without applince if, yes so what is prerequisite.
  i have enterprise vault setup in my environment

8.1 can run on an 8100 appliance or 8200 appliance. in other words, i dont believe the hardware requirements changed from whatever you were originally told. did your previous version of CW come with an Office license? if so then you'll need to call Customer Care to issue you a new one for 2013 when you upgrade.
