12.4 Enterprise Vault Archiving Encrypted Folders and Files

I have been asked about archiving encrypted folder and files on a Windows 2012 and Windows 2016 File Server. I see there is a few things you have to do in the Admin Guide with the VSA Account but there is not much detail.

Has anyone has any expeirence with archiving with encrypted data on a NTFS volume. Any gotcha's.........

    i'm not aware of anything special you need to do. the gotcha is that EV will not be able to index the contents of an encrypted file. what that means is when you search, you can only get the file name and other attributes from the metadata that's not encrypted.
