Accidentally enabled mac user's mailbox

We have EV9 and our mac user uses outlook 2011. I accidentally enabled his mailbox and without a plug-in, he doesn't have attachments in Outlook until we upgrade to EV10. So my question is how to restore all of his attachments? We do not trim message bodies.

Thanks.

p.s. I am not training this guy on workarounds. The first person to suggest it has to fly down here and train him. I guarantee you it's like training a hamster to play the guitar.

  • open the Vault Admin Console, right click "Archives" and then click "Export Archives" and there you can restore the items to their original location in the mailbox

I am up against this now

i have made the changes for newly archived messages but am struggling to get the old archived emails to work as i cannot do a full restore to original location and re-archive as my exchange server will explode!

    regards

  • OK so i am confused
you could archive his mailbox OK , but you can't restore what was already there in the first place?
The restore to archive from VAC will just restore his mailbox, no one elses, and you don't need to get it from backup, so realistically it should be the same as before he was enabled for archiving

  • I moved that post to its own thread, he wasn't the OP and just hijacked this one.  :)

  • That's exactly what I needed. I disabled his mailbox from archiving first. Are there any other things to be aware of?

    thx.
