Archive calendar item in EV

Hi,

Kindly be informed that we would use EV to archive calendar items for users, May I know as below?

  • If we enable archive calendar and archive recurrence meeting has been archived, is any impact further meeting?
  • If recurrence meeting has been archived, will it impact the meeting reminder in Outlook

    Hello,

    This KB describes how to disable archiving of recurring items:

    How to exclude recurring calendar items from archiving (veritas.com)

    Also check the Admin guide for this value: Future item retention category (Exchange Archiving General setting) description.

    In general, archiving a calendar item does NOT change the messageclass of the item (otherwise, it would no longer be a calender-item. It will archive attachments, and replace those with a link.

    I did not archive recurring meetings, as there were some issues later on with reminders etc.
