Archive Placeholder icon issue

Hi Guys

Been browsing these forums and have always found help when needed, however this time i am a little lost as to why this is happening. By this i mean, when i access an archived file the placeholder icon (black clock) disappears. Why is this happening and how do i reslove it

Many thanks
  • Hi,

This sounds like it's normal behaviour. The icon with the "clock" is Windows showing the file as an offline file. When you open an archived file from the file system is is recalled to the folder, so the file is no longer offline as it is replaced by the archived version of the file. The file should be returned to an offline state, either when the handle is dropped or on the next run of the archiving task

  • @Nivi  Nick is correct that is normal behaviour and there is nothing to correct.

Is there a reason you think there is something wrong?
