Backing up EV Vault Store

Hi All,

Do we need to backup EV Vault Store that are closed already ? or just once off is enough ?

and also I need to know if we need to backup the index as well or not needed ?

    If you use collections and run a lot of expiry then you should still backup the old locations, typically a full per week As for the indexes, yes, you should back them up regularly... If you lost your indexes, then it's not data loss but you will lose a lot of time rebuilding all those indexes A large backlog of items awaiting index will grow in your database, vault cache sync jobs will fail, user searches in archive explorer and search.asp will fail, legal searches in DA will fail etc And if you're journaling millions per day your indexes may take months to rebuild and rebuilding all of those indexes will max out your environments resources

    Cool, so yes based on that recomendation, in the nex EV 10 upgrade that I'd like to perform, I'll give Quad Core (4x vCPU) and 16 GB RAM for maximum archiving performance.

    please read all of the documentation before you upgrade to EV 10. the minimum recommended spec is 8 cores and 16GB RAM. i would strongly recommend taking the EV 10 admin training class as well. it would be worth every minute of your time.

    Hi Andrew, why is that 8 vCPU is needed ? in my current EV 904 R1 I have assigned 4x vCPU and I got no issue with that. Our environment is not growing bigger anyway.
