Calculate license for SQL server with Enterprise Vault 10

I would like to ask a question about counting SQL CAL license for Enterprise Vault 10 if I use SQL server standard.

Assume I have one Window 2008R2 server. This server installed Enterprise Vault 10 and Microsoft SQL server 2008R2 std. If I have 10 users using EV to archieve the exchange email box. Does I need purchase 10 x SQL user CAL licenses?

    Hello,

    I am not sure about SQL licensing in general, but as far as I know, the SQL licensing model changed to 'license per CPU', or perhaps even 'per core.

    For Ev, it is really 1 account doing the work, which is your Vault Service Account. You best check with your Microsoft partner, he/she should know.
